Kentfield is just northwest of Larkspur and Greenbrae is a small community located half a mile north of Kentfield. These areas are both known for their beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay, Mount Tamalpais, and Corte Madera Creek. There are several different neighborhoods in Kentfield. There are several different neighborhoods in Kentfield. The community of Kent Woodlands is considered a more established “higher-end” neighborhood with larger 4-5 bedroom homes on nice lots. The Del Mesa and Laurel Grove areas also have expansive homes and some celebrity neighbors. Kentfield’s tight knit community, top school districts, and green foliage make it one of the most desirable zip codes in the area.

If you’re looking to go shopping, head to Mollie Stone’s Markets, a local upscale grocery store that also has catering and takeout. Also in the area is Bon Air Greenbrae, a shopping mall with many apparel, jewelry, and health stores.  If you’re looking for great places to find food, Gott’s is a local hangout that serves burgers, shakes, fries, tacos, and much more. Another great stop for high-quality baked goods and fine foods is Rustic Bakery.

There are plenty of things to do in Kentfield and Greenbrae. Whether you want to attend a local event or spend a day enjoying the sun in a green space, these areas have a place for you.

The Marin Art and Garden Center is a beautiful ten-acre site that houses several non-profit community groups and offers classes and activities.

If you would rather spend a day out in the park, a perfect place to visit is Hal Brown Park at Creekside, a 27-acre park in Greenbrae that has open green space, walking trails, a labyrinth, and an amphitheater. Another great place to visit is Baltimore Canyon Preserve, a 193-acre park with trails through forest and scenic views.
